See how we take care of our customers' experience with reliability, top quality and more
We were down in Ottawa for a work trip from US, and stumbled upon this amazing place. They had sooo many choices (aloo tikki chaat, punjabi dishes, indian style pizza, hakka indo-chinese options). We haven't seen these many choices under one roof even in a place like Toronto. And don't let the name fool you...they have a ton of vegetarian options. They had by far the best chowmein and manchurian I have had in my life...the texture of the noodles and spiciness of the sauce were perfect! My wife had the aloo tikki chaat which was delicious and reminded her of India. The customer service was wonderful, and they were really friendly and accommodating. We ended up going to this place almost every night during our stay. The only negative is that they don't have this restaurant in US :)

Proper Indian food made in authentic way.
Have been disappointed with many Indian restaurants in Ottawa (had food poisoning on few occasions) so we were reluctant when we went to try food at Brampton sweets. We ordered veg chowmein and chaat papri to go and we were honestly surprised with the taste and quality of both. Both Veg chowmein and chaat papri reminded us of authentic Indian street food back home. The owner gave us free mutton curry to try and it was awesome as well. We were gutted that we didn't order more food while we were there (because of previous experiences) but we will certainly be adding this restaurant to the top of our list of favourite Indian restaurants. Worth spending money in this place :-)
Will be going back for more this weekend.

I went in to grab lunch before an appointment and right off the bat I knew I was in for a treat. The dining area is open and comfortable with a great big wide tv playing cricket. It wasn't too busy so I was sat immediately and the lovely lady behind the counter came to take my order. I went with the palate-friendly tikka masala (though I'm not one to shy away from a vindaloo, I didn't want to be profusely sweating for my appointment) the service was prompt and friendly and the serving size was perfect. The amount of chicken in the dish was great and the garlic naan was cooked perfectly.
I highly recommend this restaurant if folks are looking for a tasty, centrally located curry lunch or dinner. The price is comparable to other Indian restaurants.

This has to be, one the best Indian restaurants I have ever been. I've tried from Montreal to Toronto's best and they cannot beat what this small place has to offer. Good food and service. I was recommended from a roommate and god I have to give him praise for finding this place. Ever since, I've recommended it to friends and they all got back to me on how good this place was and the food. They even gave us free deserts after a few compliments. The people are very nice and you can even order by phone to pick up. No need for wait time when you get there. But for me I don't mind the wait since I like to make conversation. Overall, you cannot find anything better than this. By the end of your dinner, you're ready to fall alseep after a long day of work. Good work guys! I wish the best for your business.

Brilliant place. This is authentic north Indian food. The owners are so warm, welcoming and polite. They love what they do and are proud of it. The food is really delicious even though sometimes they can go overboard with the praise for their dishes which really raises the expectations before we eat. The best thing about them is that they keep innovating and making new things which I sincerely believe is the backbone of their business. I mean who came up with the idea of butter chicken pizza or poutine! Today they had mutton momos as authentic as you would find at the best spots in New Delhi. The business is running so well that you never have to worry about the food being stale because they are always cooking. They are active online too which is something a lot of other Indian restaurants in Ottawa have to catch up with.

We discovered this place by chance a few months ago, and have not had a bad experience here since! The food is not your standard fare bland kormas and tikka massalas, but instead there is a great range of authentic and interesting dishes - everything we've tried so far has been fantastic.
The owners always look after us - on our 1st visit the manager insisted we ordered the fried rice, and gave us a sample of the Chaat Papri - both are now on our list of favourites. He and his wife are great at recommending dishes based on our tastes, and will change the level of heat in the dishes to suit us if possible.
Don't be fooled by the plain exterior, all of their energy goes into making great quality and fantastic tasting food.

I went to Ottawa with my friend and was REALLY craving Indian food. I did a search for the best Indian food in Ottawa and Brampton Authentic Foods came up on top. Naturally, this is the place we wanted to try!
The interior of Brampton Authentic Foods is modest and well-designed. However, the food is absolutely OUTSTANDING! Everything was being served on disposables, which we liked. Ravi, the gentleman behind the counter, insisted we try their Dhaba Chicken. We also tried their Goat Curry and a side of garlic naans. We were SPEECHLESS! The food was SO good!
I honestly wish I could give Ravi and Brampton Authentic Foods a ten star rating. Great job, guys! Thank you for providing quite possibly best food in Ottawa.
We’ll be back!

5 stars for the milk cake. I was skeptical about the authenticity of all the sweets here but I was happily proven wrong. Has a variety of sweets all of which are great and as close to the Indian taste as you can get anywhere in Ottawa. The rest of the dishes are pretty good as well, but the sweets are just a cut above them all. Dine in is not preferred here as the owners themselves promote take-out. The atmosphere is that of a typical Indian shop which might feel foreign to people, but I felt it was great. Bring debit cards here because they don't accept credit cards as far as I know. Plus, it's located a bit too far from downtown/central Ottawa, so you'll save a lot of hassle by ordering from here via SkipTheDishes.

Absolutely FANTASTIC! I visited for the first time today and I will be ordering from here again without a doubt! The desserts were so, so fresh and sweet. My mains, butter chicken and chana masala, were beautifully spiced and had a really nice kick of heat. My naan was fluffy with perfect charred, crispy bits. Even the side of basmati was steamed to nutty perfection. Portions were generous and prices were super reasonable. When the owner, Ravi, learned I was visiting the restaurant for the first time, he generously added in a samosa and a huge helping of pakoras to try free of charge....so kind and SO GOOD! They’re on Skip if you wanna order delivery. I think next time I’ll try some of their Hakka options :)

Just went to Brampton yesterday, an incredible experience! I brought my brother and sister for their first time so that we could all get some of that amazing sugar cane juice that they offer. Ravi served us, he is a very outgoing and cheeeful man, there was also another man and a woman and they both seemed very kind as well. While we waited for Ravi to make us the sugar cane juice, they even gave us each a free veggie samosa to snack on! I ended up picking some sweets up as well, and everything tasted beyond amazing. I highly highly recommend people to try the sugar cane juice, in my opinion the absolute best drink you can possibly have, especially on a hot summer day. Thank you Brampton!!!!

Really awesome food. Loved the taste and hospitality. Went there for dinner with my friends and enjoyed a lot. We had parathas, baingan bhadta, dal makhani, with roti and methi laccha paratha. Everything was served hot and up to the mark. It took some time to get the bhadta, the reason being it was made fresh at that time only. I believe usually any restaurant takes that much time, some even take much more but here it's worth the wait.
Best part was the lady brought us hot rotis at our table and made sure we liked the food. Such a good hospitality, felt like I was eating at my home and how mom feeds♥️. Later we realized she's the owner herself. They also serve Indian sweets and thali options. Looking forward to try other items.

We have enjoyed Brampton Foods and always had awesome experience with the food, quantity, hospitality and care at Brampton Foods.
Ravi and family run the restaurant in a professional manner, with homely care of the guests, no matter what time of the day you visit. “Service with a smile” is a motto, which is very important for us after having been to a restaurants in and around Ottawa.
Food quality is always good, whereas prices are lower than some of the competitors despite higher and consistent quality. $30 sumptuous meal for a family of 3 is a pretty good deal, which is why we choose to eat here than most takeouts.
Newly renovated dining space a plus, great photo ops, kid friendly and casual setting with board games, carrom and all to play and enjoy.
Great going Brampton Foods! Onwards and upward…

Recently been to this wonderful Indian outlet. The staff is very polite and sweet. They will make you feel home. The place is well maintained with calm light and soft music. Ordered chole bhature and chicken noodles. I must say the food was bang on and hit the right flavors. Bhature were nice, hot and fluffy without much oil. Chole was perfectly cooked and tempered. Hakka noodles tasted amazing without any need of adding extra sauces or spices. I would say this is the most authentic Indian food outlet in Ottawa. The taste and spice level was perfect. Amazing food portions for the price they offer. Have both veg and non veg options focusing on north Indian cuisine. Ample parking space. They also serve hot jalebis and traditional Indian sweets. Loved the place. Absolutely recommend it if you want to taste real Indian cuisine!

A Hidden Gem in Ottawa. The flavours are bold, fresh, and genuinely authentic — the kind of food that tastes like it was made with real heart. Every dish comes out perfectly seasoned, beautifully presented, and packed with that comforting, home‑style warmth you don’t find often.
The staff are friendly, welcoming, and treat you like family from the moment you walk in. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and the quality is consistently top‑tier. Whether you’re craving rich curries, perfectly grilled meats, or fresh, aromatic sides, this place delivers every single time.
Easily one of Ottawa’s best spots in Ottawa. Highly recommended.
PS: They stream FIFA Matches.

Besstttt in Ottawa!!!
Usually there are not many restaurants in favourite list but this one will have a place for sure.
When I had the food here I found all the parameters which I was looking for Taste, Ambience and Service. We felt so good when the owner who also looks after the food came to us and personally looked after the service at our table. This only happens in India and this made me feel like I am in my home town. We were so impressed with the service. I loved his gesture. Everything at this restaurant gave me nostalgia and I felt like l was sitting in India with my friends.
You won’t find the type of butter naan they made anywhere in Brampton, musttt try the butter naans.👌👍

This is of the hidden gem in Ottawa for authentic Indian food. Food is the best and the owners are the sweetest people you will ever meet. Felt like home and enjoyed the every minute in that restaurant. Must try bhalle papdi it will be the best start. Every dish is made with love and care. Restaurant closes at 9 but they accommodated us at 8:45pm for dine in even though last order is 8:30pm. If don’t want to wait make sure to order ahead and try the dine in to enjoy hot tasty food.
Owners don’t take tips. It was a surprise to us and we wanted to tip them but they don’t accept any.We were group of 8 and had food twice during our 3 day trip. Must visit👍

Brampton Indian Cuisine Restaurant has really elevated their place and taste and I must say, it was a truly unforgettable experience! From the moment we walked in, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality by the aunty with a sweet smile.
Their newly renovated decor of the restaurant is elegant and inviting, creating a wonderful ambiance for a meal. We were truly impressed by the quality of the ingredients and the skillful use of spices in every dish we ordered.
I highly recommend trying the Amritsar kulcha, soft phulka, garlic naan, dal tarka and Dabha chicken - they were absolute standouts and some of the best I've ever had in Ottawa! To top it all off, the mango lassi was the perfect refreshing drink to complement the rich flavors of the meal.

Great food, it’s always delicious. Have tried the classics (butter chicken, lamb vindaloo, samosas, naan) but our new favourite has to be the Eggplant Bharta. I never would have picked this but the group wanted it and we haven’t looked back. This is our go to for Indian, the only thing that could make it better would be to have an accurate estimated time for pickup because often we’ll go when they say it should be ready (40 mins sometimes) and I’ve waited a good 10-20 mins longer. Happy that it’s fresh and hot but I would have planned my time differently.
They’ve done renos to allow people to stay awhile but we’ve only done takeout so I can’t speak to the atmosphere of the restaurant.

If you’re craving authentic Indian flavors in Ottawa the Brampton Authentic India food place is a must-visit! 🇮🇳✨
Tried their jalebi, samosa, makki ki roti with sarson ka saag, chole bhature, and Amritsari kulcha — and honestly, everything was absolutely delicious. Each dish felt fresh, rich in flavor, and truly authentic.
The jalebi was perfectly crisp and sweet, the samosas were packed with flavor, and the saag with makki ki roti was just like homemade comfort food. The chole bhature and kulcha were equally amazing — full of taste and cooked just right.
Highly recommend for anyone looking for real, tasty Indian street-style food in Brampton. Will definitely be coming back! 😊

Having tried many different Indian restaurants in Ottawa and been disappointed in most as you mostly get sweet creamy stuff, we went in with very little expectations when this place opened up. Upon entering we were immediately invited by the aroma of spices and the overall cleanliness was a welcome surprise! We order a few staples like Butter Chicken, Dal Makahni, Muttar Paneer, rice Puloa and stuffed Naans... when we got home we were extremely pleased with the food, everything had a very good taste with a good mix of spices, heck even the Butter Chicken and Muttar Paneer had some heat to it! Since that first visit this has become our favorite place for takeout Indian food! They have also added a Sweet Shop that brings in all their sweets fresh and what a variety they have!
So take my word, if you want Indian that actually tastes like Indian this is your one stop shop! Keep up the great work Brampton Authentic Indian Food!

Went over on Saturday and this place is definitely a hidden gem. It's the best Indian food I've had in Ottawa. The owner is extremely friendly and provided us (me & my spous) with the perfect suggestions! We had the fish pakora, Achari chicken wrap, Bhuna goat, 2 garlic naans and the mango lassi. The portions are very generous and I can't stop eating the Bhuna (or stop thinking or talking about this place since Saturday!). I will definitely come back and have already planned my next trip there! Even though we live on the Quebec side, it's definitely worth the drive. I would recommend this place to all my friends for sure!

HIDDEN GEM!!!! I have been to Brampton Meats a few times and I always leave wanting more....SAMOSA'S ARE AMAZING, BUTTER CHICKEN PIZZA IS AMAZING!! You will not be disappointed. My Fiance and I are from Brampton and this is the most authentic Indian food we have had in Ottawa BY FAR....The service is out of this world everything is made fresh so we as we waited for the pizza the person working there gave us samples of the beef samosa and it was awesome they couldn't be more friendly... I can't say enough how amazing this place is. It is DEFINITELY a new monthly tradition for us. Support a local family owned business and check it out ASAP :)

Excellent experience every visit! Food and service is top notch.
I have wanted to write a review for this restaurant for a long time.
We love this restaurant (Brampton Authentic Indian Food) for its rich Indian spicy food. Biryanis, or Indian basmati rice dishes, or nan bread, especially my favorite goat curry dish which in my opinion the best tasting goat curry you will have at anywhere in Ottawa. It is their specialty but they do everything else well as well.
Order any dish on the menu and you will not be disappointed.
Ravinder and Navneet the owners are always welcoming you with a smile, suggesting and recommending what suits your taste. Ravinder is a genius in creating new dishes which is a treat every time I visit, there is a new addition to the menu almost every 2nd week.
I also like to pass by after a long day at work to select a dish or two to take back home with me, my family loved it.

Well, its as good as it gets. I chanced upon this restaurant on one my business trips to Ottawa and was amazed by the quality of the food. Don't let the looks and the ambiance of the restaurant deceive you- you will be mesmerized by the food quality. The place is run by an Indian couple- Navneet and Ravinder, who are extremely hospitable and went at length to satisfy my cravings for authentic indian food. I had bhalla papri to start with and the special dhaba chicken with garlic nan as the main course. I topped it finally with a kulfi falooda. I would say I was amazed on all the things I ate. The price is extremely reasonable. I talked to the owners at the end of the meal and they seemed passionate about what they are doing. If you are in the mood for a great authentic India meal, you cannot go wrong with this place. A hidden gem and absolutely recommended! Please open an outlet in Washington D.C :)
